Valve Guide removal and installation.
Note:
To ease guide removal, installation and
to maintain correct fit, heat the cylinder
head to100 °C (212 ° F) in an oven.
Installing or removing the valve guide, use
a valve guide remover (1) and valve guide
installer (2).
After installing the valve guide it needs to
be sized for the valve by using a reamer
(3) to obtain proper stem to guide
clearance.
Install the valve, then install a new valve
guide seal.
Install the valve spring seats, valve springs
and keepers.
Note:
Install the valve springs with the larger
pitch (a) facing upwards.
Lubricate parts on assembly with
molybdenum disulfide oil.
