Start
Procedures
1.
To
perform
an
initial
start
following
a
central
processor
power
up:
a.
Press
the
POWER
ON
switch.
b.
Press
the
RUNOUT
switch.
This
action
resets
error-check
conditions
and
clear
s
the
card
path.
c.
Load
the
input
deck
into
the
input
hopper
face
down,
nines
edge
first.
d.
Press
the
START
switch.
If
it
is
desired
to
stop
the
reader/
punch
while
read
or
punch
operations
are
in
progress,
the
STOP
switch
may
be
pressed.
Restart
Procedures
1.
To
restart
following
a
STOP
switch
depression
(a
normal
stop
with
no
error
conditions
indicated):
a.
Press
the
START
switch.
2.
To
restart
following
a
stop
condition
for
a
CARDS
indication:
a.
Refill
the
empty
input
hopper
or
empty
the
full
output
stacker
as
required,
and/
or
insure
the
cards
are
pressed
against
the
stacker-pressure
switch.
NOTE:
When
the
reader/punch
is
running,
care
should
be
taken
in
removing
cards
from
the
output
stacker
to
avoid
a
possible
CARDS
indication
and
a
sub-
sequent
halt.
b.
Press
the
START
switch.
3.
To
restart
following
a
stop
condition
for
an
INPUT
indication:
a.
Remove
the
cards
from
the
input
hopper.
b.
Check
the
device
for
a
card
jam
condition.
The
cards
causing
the
feed
failure
are
nearest
the
throat
(as
the
deck
is
removed).
These
cards
mayor
may
not
be
damaged
or
bent
out
of
shape.
