7.1.5.3 Additional Points to Remember about Privacy Zones
If the MaxCom memory is reset, by removing the battery link, the camera will still have
Privacy Zones defined. Entering the MaxCom Privacy Zone menu will show that there
are no Privacy Zones defined, i.e. the Preset will all show the default setting of Standard.
To remove the Privacy Zones you must set each Privacy Zone to Privacy then back to
Standard.
No more than 10 privacy zones can be actively displayed on screen at any one time. If
the number of Privacy Zones on the screen becomes too complex, the camera will
compensate by grouping the Privacy Zones into a single Privacy Zone.
7.1.6 Sector Zones
This feature allows an operator to add a Sector Zone label for a specific area that the
RapidDome is currently observing. You are allowed to define up to sixteen (16) Sector
Zones per RapidDome.
Note: Not available on all RapidDomes.
7.1.6.1 Defining a Sector Zone
To define a Sector Zone you must enter the SECTOR ZONES menu.
1. From the camera menu, press 6.
SECTOR ZONES
CAMERA 01:01
SECTOR 01:01
PAN TO LEFT EDGE OF SECTOR
PAN TO RIGHT EDGE OF SECTOR
AUX TO EDIT
LOCK TO EXIT
2. Select the camera you wish to define the
Sector Zone on by entering the camera
number using the keyboard number
buttons, then press the camera button.
3. Press the aux button to edit the sectors for
the chosen camera.
4. Select which Sector Zone you wish to define by entering the Sector Zone number
using the keyboard number buttons.
Note: The maximum number of Sector Zones per camera is 16.
The "AUX TO EDIT" on the display changes to "AUX TO DEFINE".
5. Press the aux button to define the Sector Zone.
6. Using the joystick, pan the camera to the start of the left edge of the Sector Zone.
The start position of the Sector Zone is at the centre of the monitor. Refer to Figure
2. Once positioned at the left edge, press the aux button to set this position. At this
screen, you can also press lock to cancel the operation.
7. Using the joystick, pan the camera to the start of the right edge of the Sector Zone.
The start position of the Sector Zone is at the centre of the monitor. Refer to Figure
2. Once positioned at the right edge, press the aux button to set this position.
