8.2.1.4 Request Status
To view the connection status between the PC and the MaxCom Gold, click on the
Request Status button.
The various status messages are displayed:
The Maxcom connection is IDLE at xxxxx – the PC and maxcom were connected at the
stated baud rate, but the connection was closed.
The Maxcom connection is CONFIG at xxxxx – the PC and maxcom successfully
connected at the stated baud rate.
Error 208H: Transmission is locked by another command – the PC cannot communicate
with the MaxCom Gold. This is probably because another screen in the software is
already communicating with the MaxCom.
Error 20AH: Error Correction failure – the PC experiencedan error when communicating
with the MaxCom and attempted to retry X times, but could not recover.
8.2.1.5 Reset Connection
Click on the Reset Connection button to refresh the connection between the PC and the
MaxCom Gold. Reset connection is used to ensure that the MaxCom is ready to start
receiving new commands. It does not close an open connection.
