8.2 STARTING THE PROGRAM
The first time the program runs the serial port will not be configured. This must be
selected in the Options screen under the Tools menu.
Ensure a serial port (e.g. COM1) on the PC (where the configuration utility is installed) is
connected to the PC connector on the MaxCom Gold. Refer to the MaxCom Gold Series
Owners Installation Guide for pin-out assignments and cabling requirements.
Please note - the first time the program runs, the serial port will NOT be configured. This
must be selected in the 'Options' screen under the 'Tools' menu.
Desktop Icon
The installation process places an Icon on your desktop that is a shortcut to the
program’s executable file. The user can double click (left mouse button) on the Icon to
start the program.
