8.3.9 Settings, Continued
There are several buttons on the bottom of the window:
Send – After editing the fields, click on the Send button to transmit the
configuration to the MaxCom Gold.
Receive – To transmit the current configuration of the MaxCom settings stored
in a MaxCom Gold to the PC configuration utility, click on the receive button.
Reload – To return the screen to the default configuration or to the configuration
prior to any changes made in this editing session, press the Reload button.
Save – After editing, click on Save to save your changes.
2. Enter data as desired in the field.
General Settings
Language – This has been included for future use
Keyboard Timeout – Enter the keyboard timeout in seconds. If an operator is
logged on to a keyboard and the operator is inactive for the seconds defined in this
field, the MaxCom Gold automatically logs the user off. Enter a Zero (0) in this field
to disable the timeout feature.
Software Upload Password – This has been included for future use
Config Password – This has been included for future use
Timeout for ETX (milliseconds) – Enter the ETX timeout in milliseconds.
Connection Timeout (seconds) – Enter the connection timeout in seconds.
Time & Date Settings
Clock Display Format – Point to the down arrow beside the field and select 12-hour
or 24-hour.
Date Display Format – Point to the down arrow beside the field and select
Day/Month/Year, Month/Day/Year, or Year/Month/Day.
Month Display Format – Point to the down arrow beside the field and select
numerical (2-digit) or alphabetical (3-letter).
Alarm Properties
Alarm Active For – Point to the down arrow beside the field and select Contact Then
Timer or Timer Only.
Alarm Equal Priority – Point to the down arrow beside the field and select Can
Interrupt or Can Not Interrupt
