12. Firmware update
12.1 Updated at the control panel with WINFEM via BUS-2
12.2 Update at the EU via ST18:
JP15
(only for control panels with
Index .10 und .17). With an update via BUS-2, a tamper signal may be transmitted to the
control panel, as the EU activates a reset after the update.
- Min. WINFEM-100.10, V04 with service pack 2 and software tool FFAST from version V03.03.
- PC adapter cable for IK3 EU BUS-2, Item no. 023202 (and USB-Adapter-Box, Item no.
013467.10 if required, see below).
- Connect PC/laptop to the EU according to illustration below.
- Bridge the contacts from jumper JP22 while the EU is de-energized. If necessary, use a jumper
plug from of the EU.
- Apply operating voltage U_b 12 V DC (BUS-2 not required).
- The boot loader is now activated, the green LED flashes every 500 ms.
- Start WINFEM. The update is started via Tools - FFAST - Firmware download.
- When the procedure is finished, disconnect the operating voltage, remove the plug at JP22 and
if necessary, re-connect at the original position.
- Re-connect the operating voltage and BUS-2 to the EU.
