Why is there no communication between my Honeywell SMV800 Transmitter and the host?

To troubleshoot communication issues between your Honeywell Transmitter and the host, consider the following: 1. Ensure the voltage across the transmitter's power terminal is within the range of 9.5V–30 Vdc. 2. Confirm that the RS485 bus is correctly terminated with a 120 Ohm resistor or via AC termination at each end. 3. Make sure the RS485 bus is only terminated at its ends. 4. Inspect for any intermittent shorts, open circuits, or multiple grounds. 5. Check that the power and RS-485 bus wirings are not swapped. 6.
