Upgrade paths
For details about supported upgrade and downgrade paths, see Table 3.1, Upgrade support for
controller software versions, and Table 3.2, Downgrade support for controller software versions,
respectively, in the HP StorageWorks Enterprise Virtual Array Compatibility Reference. See Table 1
for document location.
IMPORTANT:
• If upgrading from XCS 5.1x0, all source and destination DR groups must be in synchronous mode
before upgrading. Check each DR group to verify this setting before proceeding.
• Customer self upgrade is supported from XCS 5.1xx to 6.110 or later. To determine if your con-
figuration supports customer self upgrade from XCS 5.1xx to 6.110 or later, see customer advisory
c01035921, entitled HP StorageWorks Enterprise Virtual Array XCS 6.110 Release (for customers
upgrading from XCS 5.1x0) .
