This procedure tests the HP E1440A integrated phase noise.
Specifications
-55 dB for a 30 kHz band centered on a 20 MHz carrier (excluding
f 1 Hz about the carrier).

Procedure
1. Connect the equipment as shown in Figure C-5, connecting the
output of the 15
kHz noise equivalent filter to the DVM. Phase
lock the
HP E1440A and the signal generator together.
