Removal and replacement procedures 25
CAUTION: Do not operate the server for long periods with the access panel open or removed.
Operating the server in this manner results in improper airflow and improper cooling that can
lead to thermal damage.
1. Place the access panel on the chassis, and slide it toward the front of the server.
2. Tighten the thumbscrew.
3. Close and lock the bezel.
IMPORTANT: Be sure that the panel is locked into place securely before powering up the server.
4. Power up the server.
Removing the front bezel
1. If performing a non hot-plug installation or maintenance procedure, power down the server ("Power
down the server" on page 23).
2. Unlock and open the front bezel.
3. Pull out the bezel.
Installing the front bezel
1. Insert the bezel.
