12. Install the PCIe slot cover retainer.
13. If you installed a cache module on the storage controller, connect the cache module cable to the system
board connector. For cache module cabling information, see "FBWC cabling."
14. Connect all necessary cables to the storage controller and drive cage backplane. For internal drive
cabling information, see "Storage cabling."
15. Install a front PCI fan.
16. Install the air baffle.
17. Install the access panel.
18. Install the bezel.
19. Return the server to an upright position.
20. Connect the power cord to the power source and the server.
21. Power up the server.

Procedure
1. Power down the server.
2. Disconnect the power cord from the power source and the server.
3. Remove the bezel.
4. Place the server on its side with the access panel facing up.
5. Remove the access panel.
6. Remove the air baffle.
7. Remove the slot covers.
8. Install the Smart Storage Battery holders.
