To install the component:
1. Power down the server (on page 24).
2. Remove all power:
a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
3. Remove the server from the rack (on page 24).
4. Remove the access panel (on page 26).
5. Disconnect the existing SAS cable from the SPI board and drive backplane.
6. Install the Mini-SAS cable:
a. Connect the cable to the host bus adapter by attaching the cable end marked Port 1I to the upper
connector on the HBA, and then attaching the cable end marked Port 2I to the lower connector
on the HBA.
b. Install the HBA.
c. Route the Mini-SAS cable to the upper drive backplane.
