1.
Remove the power supply blank.
2. Slide the power supply into the power supply bay until the device locks into place.
3. Connect the power cord to the power supply.
4. Connect the power cord to the power source.
5. Be sure that the power supply LED is green.
6. Be sure that the front panel external health LED is green ("Front panel LEDs and buttons" on page
7).
DC power supply option
Adding an additional power supply provides redundant power support to the unit if the primary power
supply fails. You do not have to power down the server before removing or installing a redundant hot-plug
power supply.
