CHECK
1、Checking the valve clearance
• Valve clearance
Refer to “ADJUSTING THE VALVE
CLEARANCE” in chapter 3.
2、Checking the cylinder head cover
• cylinder head cover
Cracks/damage→ Replace the cylinder head
cover and cylinder head as a set.
3、Checking the tappet covers
• tappet cover (exhaust) ①
• tappet cover (intake) ②
Cracks/damage → Replace.
• O-rings ③
NOTE:
When installing, new replacement washer and
apply wheel bearing grease LS.
b. Removing the screwdriver and slowly release
the timing chain tensioner rod.
c. Make sure that the timing chain tensioner rod
comes out of the timing chain tensioner housing
smoothly. If there is rough movement, replace the
timing chain tensioner.
