Procedure
Step 1
Congure an IP address for the client (local PC) to enable communication with
the iBMC management network port.
Step 2 Open the console and set the folder where the Independent Remote Console is
stored as the working folder.
Step 3 Grant the execute permission on the Independent Remote Console.
chmod +x KVM.sh
Step 4 Open the Independent Remote Console.
./KVM.sh
The Independent Remote Console login page is displayed.

Step 5 Enter the network address, user name, and password.
● The network address can be in either of the following formats:
–
iBMC management network port IPv4 or IPv6 address

Port number
The IPv6 address must be enclosed in brackets. Example: [fc::64]:444 or
192.168.100.1:444.

iBMC domain name address

● iBMC V228 and earlier versions support only local users. iBMC V228 and later versions
support local users and LDAP domain users.
● In versions earlier than iBMC V228, the port number is the RMCP+ service port number.
In iBMC V228 and later versions, the port number is the HTTPS service port number.
● The default port number can be omitted.
Step 6 Select a login mode.
