Step 17 Remove all cables from the mainboard.
For details, see 7 Internal Cabling.
Step 18 Place the removed server node case (with the mainboard) and components on
dierent ESD workstations.
NO TE
● If the removed component is no longer used, pack it again using the original packaging
materials and store it properly.
● Before placing the mainboard into an ESD bag, ensure that the processor sockets are
installed with covers.
● Place only one component in an ESD bag.

Procedure
Step 1 Take the component out of its ESD bag.
Step 2 Place the server node on the ESD workstation.
Step 3 Determine the position of the mainboard and the server node case.
