Working Mode Mode Description
TOU This mode applies to the PV+ESS system and ESS-only
system where electricity prices at peak and o-peak
hours are dierent and power meters are available.
You can manually set the charge and discharge time
segments. For example, if you set the low electricity
price period at night as the charge time, the system
charges the ESS at the maximum power during the
charge time. If you set the high electricity price period
as the discharge time, the ESS can discharge energy
only during the discharge time based on the actual
load power, reducing electricity costs.
Click Add to set the charge and discharge time
segments. A maximum of 14 time segments can be
set. During the charge time, the grid can charge the
ESS. During the discharge time, the ESS can supply
energy to the loads. In other time segments, the ESS
does not discharge energy. The PV system and grid
supply energy to loads, and the PV system can charge
the ESS. (In on/o-grid mode, if the grid fails, the ESS
can discharge energy at any time.)
In some countries, the grid is not allowed to charge
the ESS. In this case, this mode cannot be used.
The SmartLogger performs ESS scheduling based on
the external scheduling power limit and the preceding
policies.
