Step 5 Put the removed optical module into an ESD bag.
Step 6 Take the spare part out of its ESD bag.
Step 7 Remove the protective cap from the optical module, and insert the optical module
into the port, as shown in Figure 6-116.
NO TICE
● Before inserting an optical module, ensure that its latches are completely
closed.
● Insert the optical module to the enclosure until you hear a "click" sound or feel
a slight vibration, which indicates that the optical module is in place.
● If the optical module is not inserted properly, it will fall out or will cause a link
fault.

Step 8 Insert the optical bers into the optical module.
Do not look into the optical port without eye protection. The laser beam on the
optical interface board or from the
ber may cause injuries to eyes.
