Step 3 Perform "startup operations" on the UPS. The UPS runs in battery mode.

Step 4 After you ensure that the UPS runs properly, switch on the AC output circuit
breaker Q1 of the UPS to start loads.
NO TE
To prevent triggering overload protection, start the loads with higher power and then loads
with lower power.

5.2.3 Shutting Down the UPS
Shutting Down the Inverter to Transfer the UPS to Bypass Mode
Shut down the UPS using either of the following methods:
On the default screen, hold down ESC for more than 5 seconds. Release the
button when you hear a beep sound. The UPS shuts down the inverter and
enters the bypass mode.
On the default screen, press
to enter the main menu and choose Control
> Shutdown. Shut down the UPS inverter. The UPS enters bypass mode.
NO TE
The two methods are called "shutdown operations" in this section.

Step 1 Shut down loads.
Step 2 Perform "shutdown operations" on the UPS. The inverter shuts down, and the UPS
transfers to bypass mode.
