5.9 Performing EPO
Context

On the WebUI, EPO can be performed only when Monitoring > Param. Settings >
Advanced Param. > EPO detection is set to Enable. Otherwise, EPO function is not
available. EPO detection is set to Enable by default.

If the UPS is in normal mode, the UPS provides no output after you press the EPO switch.
The loads power off.

If the UPS is in maintenance bypass mode, the UPS still supplies power after you press the
EPO switch.
Procedure
Step 1 Turn on the external EPO switch that connects to the dry contact. The UPS enters the EPO
state. EPO alarms are displayed on the LCD and WebUI, as shown in Figure 5-20 and Figure
5-21.
