UPS5000-A-80 kVA functional components have the same functions as UPS5000-A-30 kVA/40 kVA
functional components. For details, see section 2.3.2.1 30 kVA/40 kVA UPS.
Connect the BMU by using a 04080298 transfer cable, which is delivered with the BMU.
When no ambient temperature and humidity sensor is installed, connect the BMU to the COM1 port
on the UPS.
When an ambient temperature and humidity sensor is installed, connect the BMU to the
RS485_OUT port on the sensor.
2.3.3 Control Port
The UPS5000-A provides a communications slot, a fast Ethernet (FE) port, an RS485 port,
parallel ports, a BSC port, basic dry contacts, and other control signal ports.
Parallel Port and BSC Port
To connect UPSs in parallel, use a parallel cable to connect the parallel ports on the ECMs on
the two UPSs. A hot swappable BSC is used in a dual-bus system to process the
communication information of two UPS systems. Table 2-2 describes the functions of the
parallel port and BSC port.
