the upgrade.
The device
needs to be
configured as
an FTP server,
or a third-party
FTP server
program needs
to be
configured.
Upgrade
Through CLI
BootROM When the
device cannot
be started or the
version
software is
faulty, use this
mode for the
upgrade.
When the
device fails and
loading system
software fails,
the upgrade can
be performed
only in this
mode.
The RS-232
cables are used
to connect the
serial port of
the PC and
Console port of
the device.
The network
must transmit
upgrade files
properly, and
therefore the
third-party FTP
server program
is required. The
FTP server and
management
port must be in
the same
network
segment.
