v Follow the suggested actions in the order in which they are listed in the Action column until the problem
is solved.
v See Chapter 4, “Parts listing, System x3100 M4 Type 2582,” on page 151 to determine which components
are customer replaceable units (CRU) and which components are field replaceable units (FRU).
v If an action step is preceded by “(Trained service technician only),” that step must be performed only by a
trained service technician.
v Go to the IBM support website at http://www.ibm.com/supportportal/ to check for technical information,
hints, tips, and new device drivers or to submit a request for information.
Error code Description Action
3808003 Configuration retrieval from IMM2 failed.
1. Run the Setup utility, select Save Settings, and
restart the server (see “Using the Setup utility” on
page 271).
2. Update the IMM2 firmware to the latest level (see
“Updating the firmware” on page 267).
3808004 IMM2 system event log full. Run the Setup utility to clear IMM2 logs and restart
the server (see “Using the Setup utility” on page 271).
3818001 Core Root of Trust Measurement (CRTM)
update failed.
1. Run the Setup utility, select Load Default
Settings, and save the settings.
2. Recover the server firmware (see “Recovering the
server firmware” on page 142).
3818002 CRTM update aborted.
1. Run the Setup utility, select Load Default
Settings, and save the settings.
2. Recover the server firmware (see “Recovering the
server firmware” on page 142).
3818003 CRTM flash lock failed.
1. Run the Setup utility, select Load Default
Settings, and save the settings.

3818004 CRTM system error

3818005 Current Bank CRTM capsule signature
invalid.
1. Run the Setup utility, select Load Default
Settings, and save the settings.
2. Recover the server firmware (see “Recovering the
server firmware” on page 142).
3818006 Opposite bank CRTM capsule signature
invalid.
1. Switch the server firmware bank to the backup
bank (see “Starting the backup server firmware”
on page 275).
2. Run the Setup utility, select Load Default
Settings, and save the settings.
3. Switch the bank back to the primary bank.
3818007 CRTM update capsule signature invalid.
1. Run the Setup utility, select Load Default
Settings, and save the settings.
2. Recover the server firmware (see “Recovering the
server firmware” on page 142).
