Programming WindLDR
To use a SmartAXIS as a remote I/O slave, connect the SmartAXIS to the computer and configure it as a remote I/O slave with
WindLDR.
Notes:
The following restrictions apply when the SmartAXIS is configured as a remote I/O slave.
• The SmartAXIS only operates as remote I/O, functions other than the inputs and outputs are disabled.
• The user program originally entered into the SmartAXIS is deleted.
• No other settings except the remote I/O slave settings can be configured.
Configuration Procedure
1. Select Configuration > Remote I/O > Configure Slave.
The Remote I/O Slave Configuration dialog box is displayed.
2. Click PLC Type and select the PLC type of the connected SmartAXIS to configure.
3. Click the Network Settings tab and configure the IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, local host port number, and
master communication timeout for the remote I/O slave.
