6.4.1.6 Deviations for automatic Pcomp calculation on two-stroke engines
The IMES algorithm for automatic Pcomp position calculation on two-strokes can be influenced by some noises
on the pressure signal. Please check if lowest position of derivative curve is at TDC or after TDC. If lowest
position of derivative curve is before TDC then Pcomp position is not correct. In this case the operator has the
possibility to use automatic function “Optimize” for shift automatic all curves into optimum Pcomp position.
Remarks: Optimum Pcomp position influences also IPOWER and IMEP calculation for application with dongle
IW-1556 !
1. Check all curves
2. Check lowest position of derivative curve
Some curves should be
checked for optimum
position of Pcomp !
Lowest point of
derivative curve is
before TDC !
