Other Useful Information Intel® Server Board SE7520BD2 Technical Product Specification
162 Intel Confidential Revision 1.3
Workaround Create the RAID 0,1 configuration at the operating system level or use
an Intel® based RAID card for better performance. Please realize you
will be limited to one RAID configuration per controller. In other words,
if you have two onboard SCSI channels (cables) as with the Intel®
Server Board SE7520BD2SCSI you will only be able to create one
RAID 0,1 configuration on one of the channels. Also, you will not be
able to create a RAID configuration across the channels (cables).
Status
Intel does not consider this a bug and recommends that you plan
accordingly. For more details on the onboard controller, please refer to
the “LSI Integrated RAID User’s Guide” posted at:
http://support.intel.com
10. Two monitors appear under Microsoft* Windows* Device Manager
Problem When operating with a pre-production or production Intel® Advanced
Management Module you will see two monitors listed under the control
panel. One will be listed as the “default” or the onboard ATI Rage XL*
and the other one will be listed as the “Plug and Play Monitor”. This
issue is not caused by the IMM module but by the ATI VGA chip
OPROM and will not be fixed because ATI has no plans to resolve it.
Implication A user may be confused when operating with only one monitor why two
show up in the Windows device manager. The second monitor is
necessary for the Keyboard Video Mouse (KVM) feature of the
Advanced Intel® Management Module.
Workaround None, this is the intended functionality
Status Intel will not fix this issue.
11. Wrong front panel identification in layout sticker
Problem On the board layout sticker, the front panel identification is wrongly
identified for POWER LED and HDD LED. Also, POWER SWITCH
identification is missing.
Implication Confirmed that this issue exists with the boxed Intel® Server Board
SE7520DB2, Product Board Assembly number (PBA#) C44686-702
and C44686-605.The sticker part number is C71061-002.
The SSI connector details that is explained in the sticker C71061-002
does NOT match the silk screen details on the board. This issue is seen
ONLY for the Intel® Server Board SE7520BD2.
Workaround Issue was already fixed in version -004 of the labels. According to the
Intel EPSD ECO roadmap, the new label should cut in to the boxed
boards in WW01,05.
Status
Intel will fix this issue with ECO .
