How to troubleshoot Intercomp CS3000 Scales when there is no power and nothing on the display?
    • A
      Adrienne GriffinAug 16, 2025
If your Intercomp Scales show no power and the display is blank, start by inspecting the wiring for any damage. Then, measure the battery voltage and charge or repair the battery pack if needed. Check the ON switch by bridging it to see if the unit turns on. If these steps don't work, unplug the load cell cable; if the scale turns on, a load cell lead is shorted, so turn the power off and test each cell lead in turn. If the issue persists, the circuitry may be defective, requiring replacement of the control panel.

What to do if Intercomp CS3000 show bad weights?
    • J
      josephkingAug 19, 2025
If your Intercomp Scales are showing incorrect weights, first check your weighing technique and ensure the scale is set to the correct units. Verify the reference scale's accuracy and confirm the scale is spanned correctly. If the reading is exactly 3/4 of the expected value, it's possible that one of the cell leads isn't providing a signal. Also, inspect the interconnecting wiring and cables for any pinching, cuts, or crushing.

Why are the weights jumpy or drifty on my Intercomp Scales?
    • G
      Gina ChandlerAug 22, 2025
If you're experiencing jumpy or drifty weights on your Intercomp Scales, it could be due to contamination on the circuit boards or a bad load cell. Also, allow the scales at least one-hour acclimation time for each 10 degrees Fahrenheit of temperature change. Powerful radio interference may also cause this issue.

What to do if Intercomp Scales have no response to one or more keys?
    • C
      Cody RichardsonAug 28, 2025
If your Intercomp Scales are not responding to one or more keys, the switch or the control panel may be defective. Note that the zero button does not function while the scale is in motion, this is not a defect. Also, the scale may be programmed to ignore the zero button if there is more than a certain amount of weight on the platform.

    • W
      waretaraAug 31, 2025
If your Intercomp Scales power up to a random display, test for low battery voltage and inspect for visible damage. If these steps don't resolve the issue, replace the control panel.
