OPERATION
iRaceWeigh Bluetooth Connection (continued)
AUTO-CONNECT ENABLED
If the most recent contacted indicator is on list, iRaceWeigh will attempt to
connect with that indicator. If the most recent connected device is not on the
list, the available indicators will be displayed. Select an indicator to connect
to.
AUTO-CONNECT DISABLED
If Auto-Connect setting is disabled, a list of indicators will be displayed. Select
one of the indicators on the list to connect to.
ATTENTION: The list of indicators is sorted by signal strength starting with the
indicator with the strongest signal and transitioning to the weakest signal
strength. The indicator is identified by the indicator model SW followed by the
scale system PAN ID. For example; Model SW-12345. If there are multiple
SW-xxxxx indictors in range, check the Radio Settings label on the indicator.
The Radio Settings label will reference a PAN ID with a 5 digit number. The 5-
digit number should match the number in the SW-xxxxx entry of the Bluetooth
available device list. In some cases, the indicator may be identified as BGX-
xxxx (xxxx = 4 digit number).
8. If the mobile device has previously been connected to the indicator, it is likely that
the indicator and mobile device have been Bluetooth paired and will not require a
pairing PIN.
If it is the first time the mobile device and indicator have been paired, a prompt will
be displayed to enter a PIN to pair the device and indicator. The PIN is 6 digits in
length and will be the same as the Encryption Key setting for the scale system. The
Encryption key can be found on the Radio Settings label located on the outside of
the indicator. Add zeros as a prefix to the Encryption Key to create the 6 digit PIN.
For example; if the encryption key setting is 4530, add two zeros to the beginning of
the number to create the PIN 004530. If the Encryption Key setting is disabled, enter
PIN 000000.
