MAINTENANCE
POWER / BATTERY
The SW RFX Indicator is shipped from the factory with four rechargeable NiMH
batteries. The indicator will also operate on four standard AA alkaline batteries.
WARNING: Do not plug in the battery charger if using non-rechargeable AA
alkaline batteries. Damage could result to the batteries and the scale.
The indicator will operate indefinitely when using the battery charger to charge the
battery. The scale can be left on or off while the charger is plugged in. It can take
between 12 to 24 hours to completely recharge the batteries. The indicator will operate
for approximately 40 hours with fully charged batteries. The time will be reduced when
using the Backlight. The SW RFX Indicator can detect when battery power is low and
will flash a Low Battery message on the indicator screen. The indicator will shut off if
the batteries are not charged or replaced after the low battery warning is displayed. The
indicator also monitors the battery level of the scales connected in the system. When
the power level of the batteries installed in the scale has been depleted, the indicator
will toggle between BATT and the weight on the scale. The scale position will also be
displayed on the indicator. Replace the batteries in the scale with AA alkaline cells.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT - INDICATOR
The battery cover is located on the back of the indicator. Press and slide the battery
cover to the side, Remove the old batteries. Install new batteries, paying special
attention to battery polarity. Replace the battery cover.
WARNING: Do not mix NiMH batteries with ALKALINE type batteries.
