IO COMMAND
The IOCommand operates a RIO control during the method, which is usually used to operate
items such as valves and contact closures when an elemental analyser or an autosampler is
being used. The IOCommand allows the user to carry out two operations on the same item
simultaneously, which makes it simple to set up the opening and closing of a reference gas valve.
When an IOCommand event is being added to the method, the following Event Definition
dialog appears:
Enter values for the fields in the dialog as follows:
Control. Select the RIO command required from the drop down list. These commands
are usually used for the operation of valves.
Operation. Select the operation to be performed. A pair of operations can be specified,
for example to open and then close a valve. If only one operation is selected, then only
one event will be entered.
