2.6.1.6 Screening (SCR) Nozzle
P/N 16192 (See Figure 2.6.1.6)
is nozzle is designed to be used to protect the unclosable openings of General
Purpose and Industrial Hazards and Vehicle Paint Spray Booth Hazards when
the opening has greater than the allowable total unclosable opening percentage
1
.
It can also be used to protect the opening of the work area in an Open Front
Spray Booth. It has a 3/4" (20 mm) MNPT pipe connection. e SCR Nozzle
is provided with a blow-off cap (P/N 14988).
e screening nozzle can protect a maximum width of 8 ft (2438 mm) and a
maximum height of 18 ft (5486 mm). It has no depth of protection capability
for dry chemical coverage. When providing a screening nozzle(s) in conjunction
with total flooding nozzles (Total Flooding applications, Open Front Spray
Booths), the total flooding nozzles must be designed to protect up to the edge of
the unclosable opening(s) that are protected by the screening nozzle. Screening
nozzles cannot be tiered vertically.
2.6.1.5 Duct and Plenum (D/P) Nozzle
P/N 16190 (See Figure 2.6.1.5)
is nozzle is designed to protect exhaust ducts and certain plenums in Vehicle
and Open Front Spray Booths. It can also be used in general purpose and
industrial hazards if the hazard criteria and the nozzle spacing and coverage
parameters are the same as outlined in Section 3.2. It has a 3/4" (20 mm) MNPT
pipe connection. e D/P Nozzle ships with a blow-off cap (P/N 14988).
Section 2 System Components and Description
2.6.1.4 Three-Way Nozzle
P/N 16174 (See Figure 2.6.1.4)
is nozzle is specifically tailored for certain Vehicle Paint Spray Booth and
Open Front Spray Booth Plenum hazards. It can also be used in general purpose
and industrial hazards if the hazard criteria and the nozzle spacing and coverage
parameters are the same as outlined in Section 3.2. It has a 3/4" (20 mm) MNPT
pipe connection. e ree-Way Nozzle ships with a blow-off cap (P/N 14988).

For the TF nozzle the maximum allowable total unclosable openings is 5%; For the JSH nozzle the maximum allowable total
unclosable openings is 2.25%.
2.6.1.7 Total Flood, Perimeter (TFP) Nozzle
P/N 17809 (See Figure 2.6.1.7)
is nozzle is designed to protect the Work Area in a Vehicle Paint Spray Booth. It
is also used in Total Flood applications. It is to be installed at the upper perimeter
of the module being protected. e TFP Nozzle has a 1” (25 mm) FNPT. e
TFP Nozzle is provided with a blow-off cap (P/N 17810).
