3.3.2.2 Agent Application - Standard Work Area Coverage
For standard work area coverage of a Vehicle Paint Spray Booth, the Total Flood Nozzle (P/N 16172) is
used. Each TF Nozzle must discharge a minimum of 1.48 lbs (0.67 kg) of dry chemical agent per second
(a minimum flow rate of 1.48 lb/s (0.67 kg/s)). e Janus Design Suite® Flow Calculation Software
will determine the amount of dry chemical agent required to meet these flow rates based on the hazard
dimensions and number of nozzles required.
3.3.2.3 Module Perimeter Work Area Coverage
Module Volume: 2,720 ft³ (77.02 m³) per nozzle
Maximum Module Area: 217.6 ft² (20.21 m²) per nozzle for booth up to 20 ft (6096 mm) in height (Refer to Table 3.3.2.3a
and Table 3.3.2.3b)
Maximum Module Height: 20 ft (6096 mm)
Maximum Module Side Length: 16 ft (4877 mm)
Maximum Nozzle Offset From Center of Wall: +/- 10% of adjacent wall length
