3. The DC PSM has two terminals labeled -48V/-60V (negave) and RTN (posive) for connecng the
DC power cables labeled posive (+) and negave (-). The terminals are covered by a cover on the
terminal block.
4. Using a screwdriver, unscrew (counterclockwise) the nut on top of the terminal block.

5. Install heat-shrink tubing insulaon around the power cables.
To install heat-shrink tubing:
a. Slide the tubing over the poron of the cable where it is aached to the lug barrel. Ensure that
the tubing covers the end of the wire and the barrel of the lug is aached to it.
b. Shrink the tubing with a heat gun. Ensure that you heat all sides of the tubing evenly so that it
shrinks around the cable ghtly.
Figure 40 on page 85 shows the steps to install heat-shrink tubing.
NOTE: Do not overheat the tubing.
