3. The DC PSM has two terminals labeled -48V/-60V (negave) and RTN (posive) for connecng the
DC power cables labeled posive (+) and negave (-). The terminals are covered by a cover on the
terminal block.
4. Using a screwdriver, unscrew (counterclockwise) the nut on top of the terminal block.

5. Install heat-shrink tubing insulaon around the power cables.
To install heat-shrink tubing:
a. Slide the tubing over the poron of the cable where it is aached to the lug barrel. Ensure that
the tubing covers the end of the wire and the barrel of the lug is aached to it.
b. Shrink the tubing with a heat gun. Ensure that you heat all sides of the tubing evenly so that it
shrinks around the cable ghtly.
Figure 40 on page 85 shows the steps to install heat-shrink tubing.
NOTE: Do not overheat the tubing.
