4 Installation
This chapter describes the installation of the product.
4.1 Requirements
4.1.1 Door components
Door
The door thickness must be at least 38mm and may be a maximum of 100mm.
Different fixing screws must be used for different door thicknesses. See scope of de-
livery [}3.2] .
Door lock
The product can be used with most commercially-available door locks. Using locks
from established manufacturers is recommended as these manufacturers ensure that
fitting drill holes conform to standards.
Locks with a split lock hub cannot be used!
In order for a mechanical opening via a lock cylinder to be ensured, it is necessary to
install door locks with key-operated latch.
Lock cylinder
The fitting is independent of the lock and lock cylinder and can be used for cylinder
holes with 17mm Europrofile or 22mm round profile. The fitting can also be used on
the door without a cylinder hole for half cylinders.
Cylinder standoff
NOTICE
The cylinder standoffs must be checked before the fittings are installed.
The outside and inside of the fitting may have different heights, which affects the
correct cylinder standoff that exceeds the door thickness. See following drawing and
table.
