12 Troubleshooting
Before sending in the sensor for repair or testing, please use the error detection table below to help you clarify the
possible cause of the problem.
Symptom Possible cause Proposal for correction
No updating of display values No power supply Replace battery or check mains supply
No display function (blank
display)
No voltage supply and
backup
Replace back-up cell. Replace battery or
check mains supply
No accumulation of m³ No volume pulses
Incorrect connection Check flow sensor connection
(Check with PULSE TESTER, if necessary)
Flow sensor is inverted Check flow sensor direction
Air in sensor/cavitation Check installation angle. Check if there is
air in the system or cavitation from valves
and pumps. If possible, try to increase the
static pressure
Flow sensor error Replace the flow sensor/Send meter for
repair
Erroneous accumulation of m³ Erroneous programming Check that meter factors of calculator and
flow sensor correspond
Air in sensor/cavitation Check the installation angle. Check if there
is air in the system or cavitation from
valves and pumps. Increase the static
pressure, if possible
Flow sensor error Replace the flow meter/send sensor for
repair
