Troubleshooting
Contacting Keysight Technologies
Before contacting Keysight, read the warranty information that is shipped with
your signal generator. If your signal generator is covered under a maintenance
agreement, be familiar with its terms.
Assistance with test and measurements needs, and information on finding a
local Keysight office is available on the Web at:
http://www.Keysight.com/find/assist.
If you do not have access to the internet, contact your local field engineer.
Be prepared to provide the following information:
— a complete description of the failure
— if the signal generator was dead on arrival (DOA) or if it functioned prior to
failure
— the model number, all options, and the serial number of the signal
generator
— the firmware revision date
— if the self tests have been run
In any correspondence or telephone conversation, refer to the signal generator by its model
number and full serial number. With this information the Keysight representative can determine
whether your signal generator is still within its warranty period.
