Troubleshooting
Unable to Run Self-Test Check (Instrument Does Not Power-On)
If self-tests will not run, the most likely cause is a faulty A2 Power Supply, A6
CPU Carrier, or A7 CPU assembly. The A6 CPU Carrier and A7 CPU assembly
rely on correct power supply voltages. If the A2 Power Supply is faulty, it could
cause a false A6 CPU Carrier or A7 CPU assembly error.
1. Troubleshoot the A2 Power Supply. Refer to “A2 Power Supply
Troubleshooting” on page 35.
2. If troubleshooting the A2 Power Supply does not correct the problem,
troubleshoot the A6 CPU Carrier and A7 CPU assembly. Refer to “A6 CPU
Carrier and A7 CPU Assembly Troubleshooting” on page 37.
3. If self-tests still will not run, the fault may be identified within the boot-up
routine. Use the following "Boot-up Routine" procedure to identify and
isolate the problem.
