Signal Definitions
+12 VDC, +24 VDC +12V and +24V Power Supplies--referenced to System Ground.
DI/O (Digital I/O)
Digital input/output lines. These lines provide both digital input and
digital output signals. Digitial output is low side drive capable of
sinking approximately 200mA which may be used for fixture control.
Loadcard xxx Loadcard connections to one of several different loadcards. Used to switch
high currents.
Pmatrix xxx Measurement matrix pin access. These lines used for low current
measurement connections.
PS+, PS-, PS S+, PS S- Device Under Test (DUT) Power Supply minus, plus, sense plus, sense
minus.
RS232 -Tx, -Rx, -Com
Serial connections from the Industrial PC Controller’s COM2 port. TC1
Connector.
SpareInst Spare instrument connections may be configured as required by the
user. These connections work well for single channel instruments.
Connection to these lines is via the "SYSTEM" or "SYSCON"
connectors in the back of the ExpressConnect PCA.
Safety Ground This is a high current/high noise ground. It connects the instrument rack to
safety or earth ground. There are six Safety Ground pins per Test Connector.
Be sure to connect ALL Safety Ground lines to your UUT to ensure proper
current sharing.
System Ground
Earth referenced ground. TCx Connectors.
Trigger Various triggers/clocks. Used by DAC and DMM on TC1-TC2 or
available for use on TC3 and above.
UserAccess User access lines may be configured as required by the user. These
connections work well for multi-channel instruments or serial access.
Connection to these lines is via the "CONFIG" connectors in the back
of the ExpressConnect PCA.
