Capacitance Measurement
Capacitance is measured by charging the capacitor with a known current for a
known period of time, measuring the resulting voltage, and then calculating the
capacitance.
To measure capacitance:
1 Press and use the keys to select the capacitance
measurement function. Set up the following connections:
Disconnect circuit power and discharge all high voltage capacitors before
performing capacitance measurement to avoid electric shock and damage to
the handheld scope. Use the V DC function to confirm that the capacitor is
fully discharged.
