AC
Alternating current.
CCS
Combined Charging System. An international charging standard for electric vehicles.
CHAdeMO
A DC fast charging standard for electric vehicles.
DC
Direct current.
Owner
The rightful owner of the charging station.
EV
Electric vehicle.
HMI
Human Machine Interface; screen of the charging station.
Users
The driver of an electric vehicle who uses the charging station to charge the battery of his vehicle.
OCPP
Open Charge Point Protocol. Open standard for communication between charging stations and back-end
systems.
PE
Protective conductor (earthing).
RFID
RFID is a wireless identification technology that uses radio waves to transmit data over a very short distance
between the RFID reader and the RFID tag.
Site operator
Person or company managing the charging station (not necessarily the owner).
