Lowering mower from headland position to working position
Unlock the control unit (1+) and move it to the float position until the mower is lowered to the
working position.
To mow, move the control unit (1+) to the float position.
Raising mower from working position to headland position
Actuate the control unit (1+) until the mower is raised to the headland position.
From headland position to transport position
ü The PTO shaft is switched off.
To release the locking (1), tauten the operating cable (2) and keep it tensioned.
Actuate the single-acting control unit (1+) until the mower is raised to the transport position.
Release the operating cable (2).

Close the stop cock (3) on the hydraulic cylinder.
8.5 Mowing
Preparing to mow
ü All points listed in the chapter "Start-up" have been fulfilled, refer to page40.
ü The machine is in the working position, refer to page47.
ü The machine is shut down and safeguarded, refer to page24.
ü The front guard is folded down, refer to page43.
ü The rear linkage is blocked.
ü The support jack is in the transport position, refer to page45.
Mowing
Before driving into the crop, engage the tractor PTO shaft at idling speed and slowly
increase the speed to the rated speed of the machine.
Drive into the crop.
Check the ground pressure while mowing, refer to page54.
To ensure a clean cutting pattern, adjust the driving and cutting speeds to the prevailing
conditions (soil condition, state of the crop, height, density).
