11.3 Deviating tightening torques
Screws/nuts Tightening torque
Nut for shear protection (rotary hub) 300 Nm
Bearing housing for cutting disc 55 Nm
Bearing housing for mower drum 55 Nm
11.4 Venting the friction clutch
NOTICE
Interventions in the friction clutch will lead to a loss of guarantee!
Interventions in the friction clutch change the slip torque. Therefore the machine may be
damaged considerably.
Never intervene in the overload protection.
Only use KRONE original spare parts.
The friction clutch protects the tractor and the machine from damage. The friction clutch must be
vented at the beginning of the storage period. The friction clutch is designed with a permanently
adjusted turning torque M

. The torque is applied to the housing of the friction clutch (2).
Venting friction clutch (Walterscheid)

ü The machine is in the working position, refer to page47.
ü The machine is shut down and safeguarded, refer to page24.
Remove the universal shaft.
Tighten the nuts (1) evenly.
ð The friction discs are relieved.
Turn the friction clutch (2).
Turn the nuts (1) back as far as the thread run-out.
