6 Initial Operation
WARNING
Risk of accident or damage to the machine due to incorrect initial operation
Machines which are not assembled by technicians may be defective due to lack of
knowledge. As a result, people may be seriously injured or killed.
The initial operation must be carried out by an authorised technician only.
Read in full and observe the personnel qualification of technicians,refer to page13.

Risk of injury due to non-observance of relevant safety instructions
If the relevant safety instructions are not observed, persons may be seriously injured or killed.
To avoid accidents, the relevant safety instructions must be read and observed, refer to
page12.

6.1 Checklist for initial operation
ü The machine is mounted according to assembly instructions of the machine.
ü All screws and nuts have been checked to make certain they are tight and tightened to the
specified tightening torque, refer to page58.
ü The safety devices have been mounted and checked for completeness and damage.
ü The machine has been fully lubricated,refer to page80.
ü The oil level has been checked on all gearboxes,refer to page64.
ü The hydraulic system has been checked for leaks.
ü The tractor corresponds to the machine requirements,refer to page34.
ü The axle loads, the minimum counterweight and the total weight have been checked.
ü The universal shaft length has been checked and adjusted, refer to page39.
ü The blades have been inserted, refer to page69.
ü The hydraulic system has been vented.
ü The friction clutch has been vented, refer to page61.
6.2 Adapting coupling points
WARNING
Risk of accident by connecting the machine to U-frame coupler
If the machine is not directly connected to three-point hitch of tractor but to U-frame
coupler, the machine may tear from the tractor. This may result in serious accidents.
Only connect the machine to the three-point hitch of the tractor.
Never mount the machine on U-frame coupler.
