Preparatory work
Deactivate the vehicle. ( p. 43)
Fold the seat up. ( p. 69)
Remove the KTM PowerPack. ( p. 107)
Mount the protection cap. ( p. 71)
Raise the motorcycle with a lift stand. ( p. 57)
Remove the shock absorber. ( p. 68)
After removing the shock absorber, clean it thoroughly.

12.11 Checking the basic setting of the fork
Info
For various reasons, no exact riding sag can be determined for the fork.

As with the shock absorber, smaller differences in the rider's
weight can be compensated by the spring preload.
However, if the fork is often overloaded (hard end stop on com-
pression), harder springs must be fit to avoid damage to the
fork and frame.
