10.5.2 At the start of each season
- Wipe off grease on cylinder rods.
- Pressurize the hydraulic circuit.
- Check the condition of the friction slip clutch
(see section ’’Intermediate PTO shaft’’).
- Inspect and replace worn knives and bolts
(see section "Inspection of knives and securing
elements").
- Check that all nuts and bolts are sufficiently
tightened.
- Re-read the operators' manual.
- Retension V-belts.
- Check belt guard condition and if it is firmly
secured in place.
- Make sure that all protection devices are in place
and in good condition.
