6.2.3 Preparing the machine
Central gearbox
The machine can be driven with a PTO stub rotating
clockwise or counterclockwise.
Check the rotation direction of the tractor's PTO
stub:
Clockwise rotation:
Counterclockwise rotation:
- Lower the mowing unit using the machine lift
cylinders.
- Lower the tractor's lift linkage to tension the check
chains.
- Uncouple the intermediate PTO shaft from the
central gearbox.
The central gearbox is factory set for a clockwise
rotating input drive. No adjustment is necessary.
- Remove the mounting bolts 1.
- Invert guard cone (2) and input shaft guard (3).
- Invert drain plug (4) and vent plug (5).
- Pivot central gearbox 180°.
- Reinstall the 4 bolts (1),
torque: 12 daN m (89 lbf ft).
- Couple the PTO shaft to the cover shaft.
