Side gearbox
Before draining oil, operate the machine for a
few minutes so that the oil warms up.
The angle gearbox is lubricated with extreme-pressure oil for mechanical transmissions with viscosity
grade SAE 75W90 and grade APIGL5:
- FC3160 TCD: 2.7 L (0.71 US gal)
- FC3560 TCD: 2.7 L (0.71 US gal)
- FC4060 TCD: 2.9 L (0.77 US gal)
When draining and refilling, it is recommended to use a synthetic base oil, type PAO (Poly-Alpha-
Olefins) with a viscosity grade equivalent to SAE 75W90.
- Remove filler plug (1) and its washer.
- Place a container of sufficient capacity under
drain plug.
- Remove drain plug (2) and its washer.
- Allow oil to drain completely.
- Wait for dripping to stop.
- Clean and reinstall drain plug (2) and its
washer. (Replace if necessary).
- Pour the correct oil quantity and quality through
the opening of dipstick plug (1).
