Zone Info
In Large view and Quick Access view, the bottom half of the Multi select page shows
information for each Zone in the selected Multi, such as Zone On/O status, Zone Solo
status, Program ID, and key range. Zone info is shown for 4, 8 or 16 Zones at a time,
depending on the number of Zones in the selected Multi. See Show Zone Info on page 9-3
for details.
Zone Info can also be hidden by setting the Global Mode Show Zone Info parameter to
O. When the Show Zone Info parameter is set to O, Quick Access view uses more of the
Display to show Program and Multi names in larger text.
OCTAVE Soft Buttons
e OCTAVE- and OCTAVE+ soft buttons can be used to change the tuning of notes
played on the K2700 keyboard in octaves.
e current transpose amount is shown in the top line of the LCD display. Press both
OCTAVE soft buttons simultaneously to reset the transposition to 0.
e OCTAVE soft buttons also transpose MIDI notes sent to the USB and MIDI Out ports.
SPLIT and LAYER Soft Buttons
Use the SPLIT and LAYER soft buttons to split and layer multiple Programs across the
keyboard. For details see The Split and Layer Soft Buttons on page 6-8.
MIDI In/Out Activity Indicators
MIDI In/Out activity indicators are displayed at the top of the screen (shown as 2 MIDI
port symbols with “I” for “in” and “O” for “out”). ese indicators briey light up when
MIDI has been recently sent to or received by the K2700’s MIDI/USB ports. If the symbol is
green, this indicates there has been MIDI activity on that port in the last few seconds. If the
symbol is red, this indicates there has been communication with the external software editor
on that port in the last few seconds. If the symbol is grey, this indicates there has been no
MIDI activity on that port in the last few seconds.
