The Display
In Multi Mode, the top line of the display shows the current Mode, MIDI transposition,
and MIDI In/Out activity indicators. If Quick Access view is selected the current Quick
Access Bank number will be shown in the top right corner of the screen.
e currently selected Multi ID number and name are shown in the center of the display. If
the selected multi is a user multi, the USER icon is displayed next to the multi name.
Note: Factory Multis with names that end with “[A0]” will play a looping Ri when the A0
key (the lowest key) is pressed. Press A#0 to stop the Ri. Other keys in the octave above A0
will often play a Ri or Arpeggiator Step Sequence which can be transposed by playing each
key.
Factory Multis with names that end with a note range like “[A0~B1]” will play a Ri or
Arpeggio Step Sequence which can be transposed by playing each key in the range.

Press the VIEW soft button to switch between the default Large view, List view, and Quick
Access view.
Quick Access view shows the names of 10 favorite Programs and/or Multis, which can be
selected by pressing the corresponding numbers on the Keypad. To access more than 10
Programs/Multis, use the CHANNEL/LAYER/ZONE/TRACK buttons to select a dierent
Quick Access Bank. Programs or Multis which are not stored in a Quick Access Bank can be
browsed by using the ALPHA WHEEL or PREVIOUS/NEXT buttons.
When Quick Access view is selected, press and hold one of the Keypad buttons (0 through 9)
to store the currently selected Program or Multi to a spot in the current Quick Access Bank.
For details on Quick Access view, see Display on page 9-2.
Note: When Quick Access view is selected, the Category buttons always select an entry in the
current Quick Access bank, and can not be used to select a Multi by ID number. To type an
ID number, you must press the VIEW soft button and select Large or List view.
